The Walk of Recovery Ministries was founded in 2026 with a simple but powerful conviction: that no one should face the battle of addiction alone. What began as a small gathering of people committed to faith-based recovery has grown into a ministry dedicated to providing safe housing, structured support, and spiritual community for those seeking lasting freedom.
Rooted in East Texas, we believe that recovery is not just possible — it is promised. Every program, every meeting, and every home we operate is built on the truth that transformation happens in community, through Christ.

Ryan Johnson
Founder & Ministry Leader
Ryan Johnson is the Founder and Ministry Leader of The Walk of Recovery Ministries, Inc. He leads with a heart for people seeking freedom from addiction and a belief that lasting recovery grows through faith, honest relationships, and practical support. With personal experience in the journey from addiction, he is committed to providing faith-based programs, safe housing, and life-changing support for individuals and families.
Ryan helps guide the ministry's recovery meetings and its vision for the recovery and restoration housing arm, where residents can find structure, encouragement, and a place to take their next steps. His hope is that everyone who walks through the door knows they are welcome and that a new beginning is possible.

Angie Johnson
Co-founder & Operations Director
Angie Johnson is the Co-founder and Operations Director of The Walk of Recovery Ministries, Inc. A certified life and recovery coach, Angie brings compassion, organization, and a deep commitment to helping others find hope. She oversees the day-to-day work that supports the ministry and its housing programs, helping turn its mission into meaningful care for the people it serves.
As a breast cancer survivor with personal experience in her own journey of recovery from addiction, Angie knows the value of encouragement through difficult times, and she is passionate about walking alongside others through their darkest seasons into a life of purpose, healing, and joy.
